ATS Read/write S registers
n=x -
Load S register ‘n’ with the value ‘x’.
n? - Read the value of S register ‘n’.
The parameter ‘n’ can be left out. In that case, S0 is selected.
The S can be left out too. For example:
ATS7 - Select S register 7.
AT=40- Put the value 40 into the selected S register.
ATS38 - Select S register 38.
ATS=20 - Put the value 20 into S register 0.
When for ‘n’ a number is entered for which no S register is available, an
ERROR message will be given. Entry and output always have to be done in
decimal numbers. Pay attention that some S registers can only be read.
AT&S Data Set Ready (DSR) control
This command determines how the modem controls DSR.
0 -
DSR always on (default).
1 - DSR becomes active when the answering tone has been detected and it
becomes inactive when the carrier disappears.
ATT Select tone dialling (DTMF)
This command forces tone (DTMF) dialling until another dialling method (for example
ATDP) has been selected in the telephone number. After that, the modem will use pulse
dialling, to dial a number.

AT&T Test and diagnosis
The modem executes a test and diagnosis function according to the parameters as they
were set. To finish a test, the escape sequence has to be entered beforehand with the
exception of the parameters 7 and 8.
