Shutting Down and Modifying an IOM-a Configuration
You can shut down ports, cards, and MDAs with the following commands in the
config
context:
After replacing the IOM-a, use the following command syntax to reconfigure the card, MDA-
a, and port configurations.
Caution: IOM-a and MDA-a cards are hot-swappable but you cannot replace an IOM-a
without affecting MDA-a connectivity.

Shut down ports:
Step 1.
