NOTE:
Please make sure that “Max bridge transit delay bound” is enabled before
enabling Delay Bound, because “Enable Low Queue Delay Bound” must be
worked under situation of “Max bridge transit delay bound control is enabled”.
Broadcast Storm Filter:
A broadcast storm means that your network is overwhelmed
with constant broadcast or multicast traffic. It will lead to a complete loss of network
connectivity eventually. Therefore, filter function can protect your network against
broadcast storms.
Enable it and set the upper threshold for individual ports. The threshold is the
percentage of the port's total bandwidth used by broadcast traffic. When broadcast
transmit threshold for a port is reached to your threshold value, broadcast storm filter
becomes active and drops all broadcast traffic. The valid threshold value is 5%, 10%,
15%, 20%, 25% and off.
Priority Queue Service settings:
There are many different applications, users, or
data flows in a real network environment. However, the network capacity is limited, you
have to keep some network services in good performance such as real-time streaming
multimedia over IP or on-line games. Therefore, you can use priority mechanism to
prioritize your network services. You have three kinds of priority queue service type to
select.
z
First Come First Service:
The sequence of packets sent is depended on arrive
order.
z
All High before Low:
The high priority packets are sent before low priority
packets.
z
Weighted Round Ratio:
Select the preference given to packets in the switch's
high-priority queue. These options represent the number of high priority packets
sent before one low priority packet is sent. For example, “5 High: 1 Low” means
that the switch sends 5 high priority packets before sending 1 low priority packet.
The valid ratio is 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 5:1, 6:1 and 7:1.
