9. Faults, causes and remedies
Problem Point to be checked Remedial solution
The Maximulch is veering to one
side or the other.
Working depth Check that the working depth is
the same on both rows of discs.
The Maximulch is not working at
the same depth on the right and
the left.
Tractor lift links The tractor's lift links must be set
to the same length.
A ridge forms between 2 passes of
the Maximulch.
Border spreading disc Adjust the border spreading disc
setting.
Clogging of the discs. Working depth Reduce the working depth of the
Maximulch.
Disc wear Replace the discs.
Irregular working depth. Adjustment of the extensions Adjust the extensions.
