Remote Interface Operation:
Use the following commands to store and recall power supply state.
*SAV {1|2|3|4|5}
*RCL {1|2|3|4|5}
To assign a name to a stored state to be recalled from the front panel, send
the following command. From the remote interface, you can only recall a
stored state using a number (1 through 5).
‘‘
MEM:STATE:NAME 1,
‘
P15V_TEST
’’’
Self-Test
A
power-on
self-test occurs automatically when you turn on the power supply.
This test assures you that the power supply is operational. This test does not
perform the extensive set of tests that are included as part of the complete self-
test described below. If the power-on self-test fails, the
ERROR
annunciator
turns on.
A
complete
self-test performs a series of tests and takes approximately 2
seconds to execute. If all tests pass, you can have a high confidence that the
power supply is operational.
If the
complete
self-test is successful, “
PASS
” is displayed on the front panel.
If the self-test fails, ‘‘
FAIL
’’ is displayed and the
ERROR
annunciator turns on.
See the
Service Information
for instructions on returning the power supply to
Agilent Technologies for service.
•
Front-panel operation:
To perform the complete front panel
self-test
, hold down the
key as
you turn on the power supply and
hold down
the
key
until you hear a long
beep
. The self-test will begin when you release the key following the beep.
•
Remote interface operation:
‘‘
*TST?
’’
Returns “0” if the complete self-test passes or “1” if it fails.
Error Conditions
When the front-panel
ERROR
annunciator turns on, one or more command
syntax or hardware errors have been detected. A record of up to 20 errors can
be stored in the power supply’s
error queue
. See ‘‘Error Messages’’ for more
information starting on page 113 in chapter 5.
