Agilent 81250 ParBERT Installation Guide, May 2004
Controller PC Requirements
The ParBERT 81250 software runs on an external PC which is connected
to the system via an IEEE 1394 PC link to VXI.
You can order ParBERT with a state-of-the-art PC in your preferred
format (desktop, laptop, rack-mounted, etc. You receive this PC
preconfigured, that means, with all necessary hard- and software
installed.
If you wish to use your own PC for controlling ParBERT:
•
Choose a PC with Pentium-class processor
•
The processor clock frequency should not remain under 2 GHz
•
Minimum RAM is 256 MB
•
500 MByte of disk space should be reserved for installing the complete
software
•
Although Microsoft Windows NT is still supported (rev. 4.0, SP 6), the
operating system should be Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP,
both professional editions with updated Service Packs
As computer technology evolves, these general requirements are subject
to change, of course.
Tools
The following tools are required to install ParBERT:

2-mm flathead screwdriver
•
Size 1 Pozidrive screwdriver
•
Torx T-10 screwdriver (delivered with the system)
