56. Logon as Administrator.
57. At the Start 5DX interface, press any key to advance through a series of errors or
warnings. If you get a message from the Windows firewall about javaw (this may
happen in the middle of these errors/warning) select Unblock.
58. At the Start 5DX Interface box: At the “Logon name =” type “s”, press <ENTER>.
Scroll down to select “Quit from 5DX”, press <ENTER>. Type “exit” and press
<ENTER> to close window down properly. Press <ESC> to terminate the Agilent
Auto Reporter.
59. Insert the CD with the most recent Agilent 5DX system software patch into the new
CD RW Drive. Proceed through the following install prompts: (Select Next to
continue. Select “I accept the license agreement” and select Next. Select Install.
Select “Yes I want to restart my computer now” and select Finish.)
60. Logon as Administrator.
61. At the Start 5DX Interface, press any key to advance through a series of errors and
warnings.
62. At the Start 5DX Interface box: At the “Logon name =” type “s”, press <ENTER>.
Scroll down to select “Quit from 5DX”, press <ENTER>. Type “exit” and press
<ENTER> to close window down properly. Press <ESC> to terminate the Agilent
Auto Reporter.

Agilent Technologies IPC 2.8 Install Supplement
floppy. Get to a DOS
prompt (Start>Run> type in the open box ‘cmd’ then select >Ok). Type ‘a:’ and
then press <ENTER>. Type ‘reg5dx –w <serial number> <model number>’ and
then press <ENTER>. (Fill in <serial number> with the last 3 digits of the serial
number and <model number> with the last four digits of the model number: i.e.
reg5dx –w 774 5400.) At the Computer Configured for…. prompt or at the a:\ prompt
type ‘exit’ and press <ENTER> to close the window. Eject the floppy.
