53. Using “My Computer” or “Windows Explorer”, browse to
c:\windows\inf\xp_pre_s3 and copy the following files to c:\windows\inf:
•
dmc_1000_1700_1800.inf
•
itipci2k.inf
•
itiports.inf
Once the copy is complete, browse to c:\windows\inf, right-click on each of the
INF files listed above and select
Install
.
Final Driver Setup
54. Using “My Computer” or “Windows Explorer”, browse to
c:\windows\system32\drivers\xp_pre_s3 and copy all files contained therein to
c:\windows\system32\drivers. Select
Yes to all
. Close the window.
55. Insert the “IPC 1.0 Ghz XP Install Supplement” floppy. Double-click on “My
Computer”. Double-click on the floppy drive. Double-click on the file
“series2LDrivers.reg”. Click
Yes
and then click
OK
. Close the window.
56. Right-click on “My Computer” and select “Manage”. On the left-hand side, click on
“Device Manager”. On the right-hand side, expand “Other Devices”. Right-click
each of the “Multimedia Video Controller” nodes and select “Update Driver”. In the
Hardware Update Wizard, Select “Install the Software Automatically” and click
Next
.
57. If asked about connecting to Windows Update, select
No, not at this time
and then
press
Next.
58. If you receive a warning notice that your system has not passed Windows Logo
testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. Select
Yes
to continue anyway
installing software.
59. Select
Finish.
Note:
Make sure you repeated this procedure for all “Multimedia Video Controller” nodes.)
Close all 5DX interface screens.
60. Close all 5DX interface screens.
61. Reboot. Upon reboot, Windows will likely want to reboot again. Prior to rebooting,
close any 5DX error boxes and interface screens that may be open and exit from the
5DX interface.
