4.1.5 Toothed belt tension: 

NOTE

 

    

 

It must be ensured for the toothed belt tension that this procedure is 
carried out exactly according to the Instructions so that the 
Installation can be continued as previously.

 

 
Procedure: 

1. The carriage must be in the middle of the axis for the toothed 
belt tension. 

 

2. The toothed belt can be tensioned using the tension screw in 
accordance with the following formula. 

 

3. One clamp (A) can be screwed in "flush"; the other (B) can be 
countersunk approx. 10 mm into the carriage plate. 
4. The belt tension depends on the belt type, width and length. 
5. Workshop recommendation: Tighten belt until it audibly begins 
to vibrate; tension after a short running-in period 

(please contact Afag Automation AG with precise axis designation for detail 
information about corresponding vibration frequency and number of screw turns).
