4.0.0 Maintenance Instructions
4.1.0 Maintenance and servicing of the PDZ gantry axis
WARNING
The gantry axis with attachments and superstructures should
be started up in set-up or jog mode. Incorrect programming can
trigger uncontrolled movements of the gantry axis. Fast or
unintentional movements of the module can result in personal
injury, even death, and damage to the unit.
Ensure that the controller is switched off and secured against being
switched on again when working on the gantry axis.

Clean the axis with a dry, lint-free cloth.
The axis must not be washed down; do not use any
aggressive cleaners.

Lubrication
 Check the safety labels for damage, legibility and
cleanliness.
 Acoustic check for unusual noise development
 Every 2000 km or every 6 months (2-3 bumps at each
grease fitting)
 Fat recommended Blasolube 301
NOTE
Lubricants with additives such as e.g. MoS2, graphite or PTFE must
not be used for the servicing of the linear modules.
The shock absorbers and stop screws must undergo regular functionality checks, and be replaced if required.
We recommend replacing the shock absorber after a maximum of 5 million load cycles.
If shock absorbers are missing, defective or incorrectly set up, the functionality of the module will be
compromised and may lead to its destruction!
