Valve heads - High pressure compressor

- The head of the 1
st
stage (A) is of the lamellar
type (Fig. 98). It must be fitted so that the
word “TOP” remains upwards and the flaps
correspond with the openings in the cover of
the head. Replace every 1000 hours.

- The head of the 2
nd
stage (B) is made of
aluminium (Fig. 99), the valves are screwed in;
the inlet valve inside is removed using a special
pin wrench while the discharge valve is on the
outside and is removed with a non-adjustable
wrench or a box wrench.
- The head of the 3
rd
stage (C) is made of
aluminium (Fig. 100), the inlet valve is screwed
inside and can be removed using a special pin
wrench while the discharge valve is on the
oustide and is kept in position by the threaded
dowel which is screwed into the cover.
