4.2.8. PRM:7 Servo Peak Current Limit
This parameter controls the maximum allowable current that the PID loop can output. The
value is expressed in % of the amplifiers peak current output. For example, if the
amplifier can output a peak current of 20 Amps, and PRM:7 is 50%, then the peak current
from the PID loop will be 10 Amps. Refer to Table 4-9. for parameter settings.

4.2.9. PRM:8 Servo RMS Limit
This parameter sets the RMS current limit that the PID loop can output before a fault
occurs. The value is expressed in % of the amplifiers RMS current capability. For
example, if the amplifier has an RMS current rating of 10 Amps, and PRM:8 is 50%, then
the controller will generate a fault if the RMS current exceeds 5 Amps for longer than the
time given in PRM:9. See also PRM:52 for different methods to compute the RMS. Refer
to Table 4-10 for parameter settings.
