Chapter 5: Gadget Gateway Web-based Interface
5.1 Introduction
The Web-based GadgetGateway Interface allows the user to access and change configura-
tion data on the GadgetGateway by using any http Web browser attached to the network.
This allows users to make changes to the GadgetGateway without having physical access
to it. This chapter familiarizes the user with the various pages of the Web-based Interface
and describes the steps necessary to changing configuration data.
5.2 Accessing the Web-based Interface
To access the GadgetGateway Web-based Configuration Tool, open a Web browser, type
in the IP address of the GadgetGateway that needs to be configured, and press ENTER. If
the address is unknown, it can be obtained through the Serial Interface, which requires a
direct connection to the GadgetGateway (See Section 4.3, “GadgetGateway Main Menu”
).
Upon entering the Configuration Tool, the first page that appears is the GadgetGateway
Status Page. To navigate the various pages in the Tool, simply click the buttons on the left
side of the page to link to the appropriate page. The page that is currently displayed will
be highlighted in pink.
Each of the pages in the Configuration Tool will be explained in the following sections.
