Note
The logbook function of the
Infotainment system meets no
official legal requirements.
In case the logbook feature is
currently activated (see "Logbook
settings" below):
When you switch on the ignition the
first time after inserting the ignition
key, you are prompted by a message
to determine the type of the upcoming
trip:
For each trip the following data will
automatically be recorded:
■ A unique serial number for the trip
(for unambiguous labelling of trips).
■ Start and destination position
(geographic coordinates).
■ Start and arrival time.
■ Start and destination odometer
reading.
■ The determined type of the trip.
■ An optional descriptive text (see
"Logbook settings" below).
Start of a trip: is determined by
inserting the ignition key and then
switching on the ignition.
End of a trip: is determined by
removing the ignition key (not by only
switching off the ignition). As long as
the ignition key is not removed, the
system continues to record the
current trip.
Data storage/export: the recorded
trip/logbook data will be stored in the
Infotainment system's memory.
These data can be exported later at
any time to a USB drive connected to
Infotainment system.
Logbook settings:
■ Logbook: activates/deactivates the
logbook feature.
■ Private / Business trip: determines
the type of an upcoming trip.
The selected type can be changed
when starting a trip (see image of
logbook message above), or at any
time during a trip via this menu.
In the logbook data a private trip is
indicated by a "0", a business trip by
