9.6 Replacing the drive roll

Remove the locking ring.

Remove the pins.

Remove the pressure roll, replace it and mount it
again in reverse order.
NOTICE
► Observe the groove geometry and the wire diameter. The wire electrode and drive rolls must be
compatible with each other.
► All grooved drive rolls have two guide grooves: 0.8 mm and 1.0 mm. If worn, the drive rolls cannot
be used and must be replaced.
► Always replace/change the drive rolls in pairs.
► The drive rolls should be changed whenever the wire type or the wire diameter are changed or the
drive rolls are worn out.
