Static Table Fields
Name
Description
Addr
The MAC address to which the entry relates.
Rcv-P
Allowed receive (input) port for this address. A zero in this field
means that all ports are allowed.
Alwd-to
Allowed output port(s) for this address. The allowed-to
information is displayed in binary form, with each digit referring
to 5 bridge-ports. Refer to Table 6-22 for the Allowed-To Binary
Table mapping.
M-ID
Member ID. If one of the destination ports is the ATM port, an
ATM Member ID which is used to identify the ATM destination
must be provided.
Stat
The status of the entry:
Q
Read-Only
- Predefined entries that may not be removed or
updated.
Q
Permanent
- Permanent entries that will remain across
system resets.
Q
Delete-On-Reset
- Temporary entries that will be deleted
when the device is reset.
Q
Delete-On-Timeout
- Temporary entries that will be deleted
after a specified period of time (aging time).
Q
Other-Bridge
- An entry with this address exists for a
different bridge, and also affects this bridge. Entries of this
type will always be defined such that a frame is flooded to all
ports. These entries may not be removed or updated via this
bridge. However, they may be removed or updated via the
bridge they were defined for.
