FIELD 

DESCRIPTION 

InBadCommunityNames 

This is the total number of SNMP messages delivered to the SNMP protocol device 
that used an SNMP community name not known to it. 

InBadCommunityUses 

This is the total number of SNMP messages delivered to the SNMP protocol device 
that represented an SNMP operation that was not allowed by the SNMP community 
named in the message. 

InASNParseErrs 

This is the total number of ASN.1 or BER errors encountered by the SNMP protocol 
device when decoding received SNMP messages. 

InTooBigs 

This is the total number of SNMP PDUs (Protocol Data Unit) that were delivered to the 
SNMP protocol device where the value of the error-status field is “tooBig”.  

InNoSuchNames 

This is the total number of SNMP PDUs that were delivered to the SNMP protocol 
device where the value of the error-status field is “noSuchName”. 

InBadValues 

This is the total number of SNMP PDUs that were delivered to the SNMP protocol 
device where the value of the error-status field is “bad Value”. 

InReadOnlys 

This is the total number valid SNMP PDUs that were delivered to the SNMP protocol 
device where the value of the error-status field is “readOnly”. It is a protocol error to 
generate an SNMP PDU that contains the value “readOnly” in the error-status field. As 
such, this object is provided as a means of detecting incorrect implementations of the 
SNMP. 

InGenErrs 

This is the total number of SNMP PDUs that were delivered to the SNMP protocol 
device where the value of the error-status field is “genErr”. 

InTotalReqVars 

This is the total number of MIB objects that have been retrieved successfully by the 
SNMP protocol device as the result of receiving valid SNMP Get-Request and Get-
Next PDUs. 

InTotalSetVars 

This is the total number of MIB objects that have been altered successfully by the 
SNMP protocol device as the result of receiving valid SNMP Set-Request PDUs. 

InGetRequests 

This is the total number of SNMP Get-Request PDUs that have been accepted and 
processed by the SNMP protocol device. 

InGetNexts 

This is the total number of SNMP Get-Next PDUs that have been accepted and 
processed by the SNMP protocol device. 

InSetRequests 

This is the total number of SNMP Set-Request PDUs that have been accepted and 
processed by the SNMP protocol device. 

InGetResponses 

This is the total number of SNMP Get-Response PDUs that have been accepted and 
processed by the SNMP protocol device. 

InTraps 

This is the total number of SNMP Trap PDUs that have been accepted and processed 
by the SNMP protocol device. 

OutTooBigs 

This is the total number of SNMP PDUs that were generated by the SNMP protocol 
device and for which the value of the error-status field is “tooBig”. 

OutNoSuchNames 

This is the total number of SNMP PDUs that were generated by the SNMP protocol 
device and for which the value of the error-status is “noSuchName”. 

OutBadValues 

This is the total number of SNMP PDUs that were generated by the SNMP protocol 
device and for which the value of the error-status field is “badValue”. 

OutGenErrs 

This is the total number of SNMP PDUs that were generated by the SNMP protocol 
device and for which the value of the error-status field is “genErr”.
