7.4 Auto Shutdown Configuration
This section describes procedures for the auto shutdown configuration, including the
configuration for overheat protection and auto shutdown/standby.
Context
l
Overheat Protection: If the temperature of the chip inside the terminal is higher than
85
℃
, the system gives a power-off prompt.
l
Auto Shutdown: If the terminal is idle and no operation is performed (including remote
control operation, logging into the Web page or logging into the PC console), the
system gives a power-off prompt.
l
Auto Standby: If the terminal is idle and no operation is performed (including remote
control operation, logging into a Web page or logging into the PC console), the system
switches into standby status and shuts down the audio and video input.
Steps
1.
Select
System > Maintenance > Advanced
. The
Advanced
screen is displayed.

Configure the parameters by referring to the table below.

to enable the overheat protection function.
If the temperature of the chip is higher than 85

, a message box is
displayed, and then:

Click
OK
, the terminal shuts down at once.

Cancel
, this message box will be displayed again in an hour.

No operation is performed, the terminal will automatically shuts down
in 60 seconds.
Auto Shutdown
If the terminal is idle and no operation is performed for a specific time
(which can be configured as

to
12
hour(s)), a message box is displayed,
and then:
l
Click
OK
, the terminal shuts down automatically.
l
Click
Cancel
, the terminal remains on.
l
No operation is performed, the terminal will automatically shuts down
in 20 seconds.
Auto Standby
If the terminal is idle and no operation is performed for a specific time
(which can be configured as
1
to
60
minute(s)), the system automatically
shuts down the audio and video input and switches into standby status.
Standby
Screensaver
The standby screensaver function can be configured only when the auto
standby function is enabled.
Select
Enable
to enable the standby screensaver function.
