Phone Calls and Voicemail 68

Deactivate Speaker
to use the phone’s earpiece.
Warning : Because of higher volume levels, do not place the phone near your ear during speakerphone
use.
Note : When a Bluetooth headset is connected to your phone, you can route the audio through the
Bluetooth headset ( ), the phone earpiece ( ), or the phone speaker ( ). Tap one of these icons
and select Speaker , Handset earpiece , or Bluetooth to change how the audio is routed.
Place a Call from Contacts
You can place phone calls directly from entries in your Contacts list.
1. From home, tap Phone to display the phone app.
2. Tap Contacts to display the Contacts list.

The contacts list appears.
3. Tap a contact.
4. Tap the number you want to call.

The phone dials the number. The call begins when the other party answers.
5. To end the call, tap .

The call ends.
Tip : You can also place a call directly from the Contacts list. Tap Call next to the entry you want to
call. Select a number if the contact has more than one number.
