The Wireless Setting Page
You can use the
Wireless Setting
page to configure your wireless LAN setup. By
default you Modem/Router ships with wireless security enabled. The Wireless
Network Name and Security Key for your unit is printed on the bottom case label.
Wireless Function
Accept the default,
Enable
. Click the
Disable
checkbox only if you do not
want wireless clients to access your network.
Wireless Schedule
If you want your wireless to be off at certain times you can set up a
scheduling rule that controls when wireless in enabled. See
Scheduling
Rules
for more information.
Wireless Network Name (SSID)
Refers to the
S
ervice
S
et
Id
entifier for your device. By default, the SSID for
the Modem/Router with Wireless-N is
Zoom_xxxxxx
, where xxxxxx is six
random alphanumeric characters. The Wireless Network Name of your
device is found on the bottom label of your unit. You can change the SSID to
a name of your choice. The wireless network name can be up to 32
alphanumeric characters. If you change the name, make sure that all
devices on your network use the new SSID as the access point.
