1 Extension cord not connected.
1 Connect the extension cord to the outlet and/or the
machine.
2 The extension cord is worn, corroded, or dam-
aged.
2 Replace the extension cord.
3 The socket does not provide current.
3 Have a qualified electrician energize the outlet.
Then engine does
not start
1 Choke not in CHOKE position.
1 Move choke to CHOKE position.
2 Then engine was not vented
2 Prime engine as instructed in this manual.
3 Too much fuel in the engine
3 Wait a few minutes before restarting, do NOT use the
deaerator.
4 The fuel valve is closed
4 Open the fuel valve
5 Throttle in STOP position or ON/OFF switch is
OFF.
5 Move throttle to FAST position or ON/OFF switch to
ON Position.
6 Spark plug wire loose or disconnected.
6 Re-connect the ignition cable to the spark plug.
7 Fuel tank empty or stale fuel.
7 Fill tank with clean, fresh gasoline.
8 The spark plug is defective
8 Clean it, adjust the distance, or replace it.
9 The safety ignition switch is not inserted
9 Insert the safety ignition switch.
10 The engine oil level in the engine crankcase is too
low or too high
10 Add or drain oil to adjust the oil level in the engine
crankcase.
Idling or engine
running irregularly
1 Engine running on CHOKE.
1 Move choke lever to RUN position.
2 Fuel tank is nearly empty or stale fuel.
2 Fill tank with clean, fresh gasoline.
3 The fuel is contaminated
3 Replace with clean fuel.
4 The carburettor is not adjusted correctly
4 Contact a qualified repair personnel.
5 Excessive speed

6 The fuel shutoff valve is not completely open or
blockage in fuel line.

1 The ejection channel is clogged
1 Clean the ejection shaft
2 Feed screws or wheel drive are blocked
2 Remove the deposits or foreign objects from the feed
screws or the wheel drive.
3 The feed screw control cable is not firmly seated
3 Adjust the feed screw control cable
4 The feed screw belt is loose or damaged
4 Replace the feed screw belt
5 Shear pin(s) sheared.
5 Replace with new shear pin(s).
6 The gas lever is not in the FAST position during
snowblowing
6 Set the throttle to the FAST position
7 Moving too fast to clear the snow.
7 Shift into a lower gear.
