This is the prompt for “Question 1” of the question loop for the two-tone paging format.

Question 1 - Channel Select Relays

This question requires a 3-digit number for a response (000 to 255).

The Model 25 is equipped with eight channel select relays. These relays are provided for the
automatic selection of channels and may be activated in any combination. The 3-digit
number entered determines which of the relays will be activated when a call from this
leading digit is to be sent by the Model 25. Table 22 shows the values assigned to each of the
eight control relays.

To activate multiple relays, add the values of all the relays you want to active and enter the
total in response to question “1”. For example, if you wanted to active relays 1, 3, 5, and 8,
you would add together 001, 004, 016, and 128 for a total of 149. The value 149 would be
your response to question “1”.

001 + 004 + 016 + 128 = 149

Question 2 - Two-tone Code Plan

Once you respond to “Question 1”, the unit will now display the prompt for “Question 2”:

The Model 25’s Two-Tone format is based on the industry standard 1000-call “Code Plan”.
Table 23 lists the code plans supported by the Model 25 To select a code plan, enter its two-
digit number in response to question “2”.
