In this example a “1” was entered so the paging format selected on this pass through the loop
will apply to any manual paging entry that begins with the digit “1”. If you are not familiar
with the concept of leading digits in a paging terminal, please see the explanation given in
“Question “b” - Leading Digit Assignment” on page 69. Next, you will be prompted to
assign a specific paging format to this leading digit.

In this example, the digit “2” was entered and the Model 25 responds with the line “

CAL TWO TONE
” to confirm the selection. The next prompt displayed prompts you specify
which channel select relays are to be activated when a page is made with this leading digit.

The encoder expects a 3-digit response for this question. Please see “Question 1 - Channel
Select Relays” on page 72 for a complete explanation on how you come up with this number.
The next four questions in this example prompt you to select format-specific settings for use
with the Two-Tone format. Paging format specific information to assist in answering
questions like this can be found in “APPENDIX A - PAGING FORMAT
