Assembly
Introduction
WARNING: Read and understand the safety
chapter before you assemble the product.
To assemble the guide bar and saw
chain
1. Move the front hand guard towards the front handle
to disengage the chain brake. (Fig. 22)
2. Remove the bar nut(s) and the clutch cover. Remove
the transportation ring (A). (Fig. 37)
3. Put the guide bar over the bar bolt. Steer the guide
bar to its most rear position. Lift the saw chain above
the drive sprocket and engage it in the groove on the
guide bar. Start on the top edge of the guide bar.
(Fig. 38)
4. Make sure that the edges of the cutting links are
turned forward on the top edge of the guide bar.
5. Assemble the clutch cover and steer the chain
adjuster pin to the hole in the guide bar. Make sure
that the drive links of the saw chain fit correctly on
the drive sprocket. Also make sure that the saw
chain is correctly engaged in the groove in the guide
bar. Tighten the bar nut(s) finger tight.
6. Tighten the saw chain by turning the chain
tensioning screw clockwise with the combination
spanner. Tighten the saw chain until it does not sag
from below the guide bar. See instructions under the
header
To tension the saw chain on page 34
(Fig.
39)
7. The saw chain is tightened correctly as it does not
sag from the below the guide bar, but you can turn it
easily by hand. Hold up the guide bar tip and tighten
the bar nuts with the combination spanner. (Fig. 40)
8. Do a check of the chain tension frequently, after you
have assembled a new saw chain, until the saw
chain is run-in.
9. Do a check of the chain tension regularly. A correct
chain tension results in good cutting performance
and a long life. (Fig. 41)

Fuel
This product have a two-stroke engine and must always
run on a mixture of gasoline and two-stroke oil.

• Use unleaded or leaded gasoline of a good quality.
• The lowest recommended octane grade is 90 (RON).
There is a risk that use of lower grade causes
