Maintenance notes

Heavily soiled varnished surfaces of all system components should be
cleaned with a cloth moistened with a weak soap solution, please
also observe the manufacturer’s operating instructions for
maintaining the printer.

Only used denatured alcohol or commercially available cleaning
cloths for computers and monitors for cleaning the monitor, use
commercially available cleaning cloths for the mouse and keyboard.

Use spray or wipe disinfectants for cleaning and disinfecting the
instrument casing, chinrest and the forehead strap.
❏
Take care when cleaning and disinfecting that no moisture
penetrates into the instrument. Paper pads should be changed after
every patient.
Note
The national disinfecting regulations must be observed for
selecting the suitable disinfectant and method of disinfecting. We
recommend the use of ethanol (DAB 10) 80 vol % or isopropanol
70 vol % for disinfecting the used parts.

Now and then, clean the front lens. Remove dust by means of a fine
brush.

When required, carefully clean the front surface of the lens with a
water-free ether / spirit mixture (9:1) applied to a cotton swab. For
cleaning, turn on the illumination so that you can check the cleaning
effect. Clean the surface by moving the cotton swab or another
appropriate tool of the optics cleaning kit circularly from the lens
center to the edge.

When not in use, cover the instrument by the dust cover provided to
protect it from dust.

Keep the packaging material for future relocation or repair. On
request, you may also return it to the supplier.
Disposal
The instrument system contains electronic components.
The instrument must be disposed of properly when it reaches the end of
its service life.
