Preparing image capture
Switching the instrument on
•
Switch on external instruments at the power isolation transformer.
•
Switch on the VISUCAM C at the power switch of the basic unit.
–
The system starts automatically, runs a self-test and then displays
the
Patient Manager desktop.
Entry / editing of patient data
•
Click on the
NEW
or
EDIT
button. This will bring up the Patient dialog
box (Fig. 22).
The VISUCAM C software keeps an internal patient list (cf. page 53). In
the
Patient dialog box, enter patient-specific data (name, first name,
date of birth).
•
Click on the Name textbox and type in the patient name. Use the
Tab key or the mouse to activate the First name textbox and type
the patient’s first name. Move to the next textbox with either Tab
key or mouse.

In the Date of birth textbox, type the day. With arrow key or mouse
switch to the month field and type in the respective figure; then,
analogously switch to the year and enter the respective figure.
•
Confirm your entries by a click on the
OK
button or abort the entry
procedure by a click on the
CANCEL
button.
Note
For safety reasons, the entry of name, first name and date of birth
is compulsory! Data is saved as entered, i.e. you should consider
capitalization where appropriate.

Operation
