– Tighten the clamping screw by hand to fix the rotary feedthrough in
one of its eight detent positions.
• Establish all required cable connections:
• Make the following settings to enable your INTRABEAM to emit X-rays:
• Create a "patient", for example "XRS_test_1".
• Make the settings for the XRS 4: 40

A beam current, 50 kV acceleration
voltage, no applicator.
• Select the following settings in order to obtain a treatment duration of
several hours: Prescribed dose 90 Gy and treatment depth 30 mm.
• Start the "treatment" and wait until the internal X-ray monitor indicates
approx. 100%.
You will find detailed explanations on how to operate the measuring
functions in the Instructions for Use of your INTRABEAM (Instructions for Use
"INTRABEAM 600").
You can interrupt X-ray emission by pressing the <Pause> button.
You can continue X-ray emission by pressing the <Fortsetzen> button.
NOTE If the probe tip is bent out of tolerance while being inserted in the water
phantom, the XRS 4 will no longer be able to emit radiation and the quality
assurance steps must be repeated.
• Carefully insert the XRS 4 into the XRS mount in the rotary feedthrough.
• Make sure that the probe tip does not touch the measuring chamber
while adjusting the positioning unit.

• Connect the IC ionization chamber to the “Ion Chamber” port.
• Connect the XRS 4 to the XRS cable (green).
