Before Turning On the Power, Check That:
• The instrument is installed properly. See section 2.2, “Appropriate Locations for Using the
Instrument.”
• The battery pack is installed properly if you are using the battery pack to run the instrument. See
section 2.5, “Loading, Removing, and Charging the Battery Pack.”
• Check that the power cord is connected properly if you are using the AC adapter or DC power
supply to run the instrument. See section 2.6, “Connecting the AC Adapter,” or 2.7, “Connecting the
DC Power Supply.”

Battery Status Display
• The battery level is indicated at the top of the screen with an estimated battery charge level (%).
Use the battery level as a rough guideline.
• When the battery level falls to 9%, a warning message will appear.
• When the battery voltage decreases due to low temperature or other reason, a warning message
will appear, and the battery level will indicate LOW.
• When there is no more battery power, a warning message will appear, and the power will be turned
off. If an SD card is inserted, measured data is saved before the power is turned off.
• When the battery level is low or the voltage is low, connect the AC adapter or DC power cable to
supply power.
CAUTION
Turning the instrument off while the instrument is saving data may damage the media on
which data is being saved. Also, the data being saved is not guaranteed. Always turn the
power switch off after data has been saved.
