5.1.11 Zero Adjustment
The zero adjustment is to set the output for zero flow velocity to 0%. Although the adjustment to
zero is performed at the manufacturing factory prior to shipment, this procedure must be carried
out once again following the installation of piping to match the magnetic flowmeter to its operating
conditions.
This subsection describes zero adjustment procedures using the display.
IMPORTANT
• The zero adjustment should be carried out before the actual operation. Note that other
parameters cannot be set and changed during the zero adjustment (for approximately 30
seconds).
• The zero adjustment should be executed only after the sensor is filled with fluid to measure
and the fluid velocity is reduced to zero by closing the valve.
• Each time the measuring fluid is changed, be sure to perform the zero adjustment for the
changed fluid.
Execution of zero adjustment
