VPN
The VPN (Virtual Private Network) technology establishes a private tunnel on the public network through
key exchange, encapsulation, authentication and encryption, to ensure the integrity, privacy, and validity
of the transmitted data. VCS uses OpenVPN to achieve VPN feature. To prevent disclosure of private
information, tunnel endpoints must authenticate each other before the secure VPN tunnel is established.
After you configure VPN feature on the system, the system will act as a VPN client and uses the
certificates to authenticate with the VPN server.

Related VPN Files
To use VPN, you should upload the compressed package of VPN-related files to the system in advance.
The file format of the compressed package must be *.tar. The related VPN files are certificates (ca.crt and
client.crt), key (client.key), and the configuration file (vpn.cnf) of the VPN client.
The following table lists the directories of the OpenVPN certificates, the key and the configuration file:
