ENGINE REMOVAL

REMOVING THE ENGINE

1. Stand the vehicle on a level surface.

Securely support the vehicle so that there
is no danger of it falling over.

NOTE:

Place the vehicle on the mainstand so that the
rear wheel is elevated.

2. Remove:

Side cover
Refer to “SIDE COVERS SEAT AND
FUEL TANK” in chapter 3.

3. Remove:

Air filter case assembly

4. Disconnect:

Oil hose

Oil delivery hose

Fuel hose

Turn the fuel cock lever to “S” position,
and then disconnect the fuel hose.

5. Remove:

Carburetor assembly
Refer to “CARBURETOR” in chapter 6.
