8. Ignition control switch

Check the ignition control switch for conti-
nuity. Refer to “CHECKING THE SWITCH-
ES”.

Is the ignition control switch OK?

YES

Replace the ignition
control switch.

7. Lighting coil resistance

Disconnect the lighting coil coupler from
the wire harness.

Connect the pocket tester (“Ω

1” range) to

the lighting coil terminal as shown.

Positive tester probe

→

white

Negative tester probe

→

black

Measure the charge coil resistance.

Is the lighting coil OK?

Replace the stator
coil assembly.
