Rotate the DIAL to select the number of digits of the APRS beacon station call sign
information which is added to each data.
This setting is required when “WAYPOINT” is selected in step 8. The data is output
in the NMEA-0183 $GPWPL format.
The setting switches as follows:
NMEA 9: Displays the last 9 digits of the call sign (Example: JQ1YBG-14 is output as
“JQ1YBG-14”).
NMEA 8: Displays the last 8 digits of the call sign (Example: JQ1YBG-14 is
shortened to “Q1YBG-14”).
NMEA 7: Displays the last 7 digits of the call sign (Example: JQ1YBG-14 is
shortened to “1YBG-14”).
NMEA 6: Displays the last 6 digits of the call sign (Example: JQ1YBG-14 is
shortened to “YBG-14”).
