Note:
Leave the EPO connector installed into the EPO port of the UPS even if the EPO function is not required.
The EPO polarity can be set. See the “EPO Input Polarity” setting under “User Settings” in this manual.
Note:
Depending on user configuration, the pins must be shorted or opened to keep the UPS running. To restart
the UPS, reconnect (re-open) the EPO connector pins and turn on the UPS manually. Maximum resistance in the
shortened loop is 10 ohm.
Note:
Always test the EPO function before applying your critical load to avoid accidental load loss.
Load Segments
Load segments are sets of receptacles that can be controlled by power management software or through the
display, providing for an orderly shutdown and startup of equipment. For example, during a power outage, critical
equipment can be kept running while other equipment is turned off. This feature allows saving of battery power
for critical loads.
Each UPS has two load segments:
• Load Segment 1: The power shedding battery voltage of this segment can be set by the LCD
• Load Segment 2: This power segment operates on full UPS function at all times
