5. Check if a cell permit has expired
It the cell permit has been installed for corresponding electronic chart cell, the system will
check the update date of the chart cell and expiry date of the cell permit. Besides, it will
confirm if the expiry date of the cell permit is later than the update date. If the cell permit
has expired, you will get the following prompt: “
SSE 15 - the license of [CN302307]
electronic chart has expired. Please contact your data service provider to renew the
license of electronic charts.
” If you click “Yes”, the electronic chart cell will be still
installed on the system, but following warning will be given if the electronic chart of any
expired cell permit is displayed later: “
SSE 25 - the license of [CN302307] electronic
charts has expired. Please don’t use it for navigation. ”
6. Check if the cell permit will remain valid for less than 30 days or not
If the cell permit of an electronic chart cell will remain valid for less than 30 days, you will
get the following prompt: “
SSE 20 - the license of the electronic chart will remain valid
for less than 30 days. Please promptly contact your data service provider to renew
the license of the electronic chart.
” If you click “Yes”, you will decrypt and install the
electronic chart cell.
7. Decrypt and install an electronic chart cell
The system installs an electronic chart cell with corresponding cell permit. If the electronic
chart cell can’t be decrypted, you will get the following prompt: “
SSE 21 - the decryption
of the [CN302307] electronic chart fails, and the cell permit is invalid. The cell
permit possibly belongs to other equipment, or the cell permit has been updated.
Please contact your data service provider to get a new one.
” Once you click “Yes”, the
system will ignore this electronic chart cell and install the next one.

After all electronic chart cells inside a data packet of electronic charts are
installed, if multiple volumes are included in that data packet, a file dialog will pop up
in the system to instruct you to choose the position of root directory for the next
volume and continue installing electronic charts until all volumes are installed.

After the installation, documents named
PRODUCT.TXT
will be included in the
data packet of electronic charts, and the product directory will be simultaneously
updated.
