1. Check the SA certificate
1) If SA certificate hasn’t been installed, following prompt will be given: “
SSE 05-SA
digital certificate (X509) is unavailable, and you can get the certificate from the
official website of IHO or your data service provider.
” Click “Yes”, and the installation
is completed.
2) If the certificate or public key of the SA certificate is wrong, you will get following prompt:
“
The format of SSE 08 - SA digital certificate (X509) is wrong. You can get the right
one from the official website of IHO or your data service provider.
” Click “Yes”, and
the installation is completed.
3) If the SA certificate has expired, you will get the following prompt: “
SSE 22 - SA digital
certificate (X509) has expired. You can get a new one from the official website of
IHO or your data service provider. You can also get a new SA pubic key from the
official website of IHO or your data service provider.
” Click “Yes”, and the installation
is completed.
2. Verify SA-signed Data Service Certificate (Signed Certificate for Electronic Chart Unit)
For each electronic chart cell, the system will verify the SA-signed data service certificates
with SA certificate. If the verification fails, you will get the following prompt: “
SSE 06 -
SA-signed data service certificates are invalid. Perhaps SA has published a new
public key, or the electronic charts are from other service providers.
” Click “Yes”, and
the installation is suspended.
3. Verify Documents of Electronic Chart Cells
The system verifies documents of electronic chart cells with SA-signed data service
certificates:
1) If electronic charts are signed in a wrong format, you will get the following prompt: “
SSE
24 - the electronic charts are signed in a wrong way. Please contact your data
service provider.
” Click “Yes”, and the installation is suspended.
2) If the verification fails, you will get the following prompt: “
The signature of SSE 09 -
[CN303317] electronic chart is invalid, so please verify its source.
” Click “Yes”, and
the installation is suspended.
4. Check the availability of cell permit
The system checks if the cell permit corresponding to an electronic cell permit has been
installed. If pertinent cell permit hasn’t been installed, you will get the following prompt:
“
SSE 11 - the cell permit of [CN303317] electronic chart isn’t found. Please install
the cell permit document from your data service provider (PERMIT.TXT).
” If you click
“Yes”, this electronic chart cell will be ignored by the system to install the next electronic
chart cell.
