Type (S-63 or S-57)
State (expired, canceled, permitted, remain valid for less than 30 days)
These words are only effective for S-63 electronic chart cells. For S-57 electronic
chart cells, these words won’t exist. There are several states as follows:
1) Expired: A cell permit corresponding to an electronic chart cell has expired and become
unsuitable for navigation. In browsing this electronic chart cell, the system will give a
prompt.
2) Canceled: An electronic chart cell has been canceled, not to be maintained any longer
and become unsuitable for navigation. In browsing this electronic chart cell, the system
will give a prompt.
3) Remain valid for less than 30 days: If the cell permit corresponding to an electronic
chart cell will remain valid for less than 30 days, please promptly renew the license of the
electronic chart. A prompt will be given when this electronic chart cell is browsed.
4) Licensed, for S-63 electronic chart cell with a cell permit that can be valid for over 30
days.
3.9.1 Install Exchange Set
The installation guide is used for installing data packets of electronic charts with S-63
catalog structure specified by IHO. For this catalog structure, please refer to the S-63 data
protection solution. S-63 data packets of electronic charts can be only installed through
the installation guide. Meanwhile, the installation guide is compatible with S-57 data
packets of electronic charts with S-63 catalogue structure.
Click “install exchange set” and open the window for such installation.
Choose the root directory of data packets of electronic charts.
Click “Install” to start the installation. Then, the system will execute following
operations:
