Security - HTTPS
Use the HTTPS tab to allow user access to the camera using web browser encrypted communication.

HTTPS Connection Policy:
Provides the connection policy when user access to the
camera using web browser.
Connection mode:
The default setting is HTTP&HTTPS.
-- HTTP: The sensitive data will be transfer without encrypted during transmission.
Supports a URL that only starts with “HTTP:”
-- HTTPS: HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol over SSL) is a protocol used to provide the
encrypted transmission. Supports a URL that only starts with “HTTPS:”
-- HTTP&HTTPS: Supports both HTTP and HTTPS simultaneously. You can access the
camera using a standard “HTTP:” URL, but sensitive data is not encrypted during transmission. To
ensure that sensitive data is encrypted, you must use a secure “HTTPS:” URL.
NOTES
- To ensure security on the internet, all web browsers provide several security levels that can be
adjusted for site that use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology to transfer data. SSL encrypts
communications, making it difficult for unauthorized users to intercept and view user names and
passwords.
