Power Off/On

The printer motor has failed; printing cannot resume.

ACTION:

Power OFF and ON the printer. If the problem persists, contact your
dealer or Olivetti.

Power Off/On

Nonvolatile memory on the printer controller has failed and printing cannot resume.

ACTION:

Power OFF and ON the printer. If the problem persists, contact your
dealer or Olivetti.

O E M I D M i s m a t c h

The Toner Cartridge is not a Olivetti manufactured Toner Cartridge for this printer.

ACTION:

Install the Toner Cartridge for this printer. To order a Toner Cartridge for
this printer, see Appendix A: DP N40 Ordering Information.

O f f l i n e

The printer is offline, not in menu mode, and without any fault conditions.

Offline does not mean the printer is disconnected from a host. It means page
formatting and printing are halted.

ACTION:

To put the printer online, press Online

To select menus, press Menu Up

or Menu Down

O u t o f M e m o r y

This message appears when the current PCL or PostScript job cannot print because it
exceeds available memory.

ACTION:

Split the job into smaller jobs, or install additional memory. See
Appendix A: DP N40 Ordering Information for information on ordering
more memory.

This message appears when the Toner Cartridge is out of toner.

ACTION:

Replace the Toner Cartridge following the instructions in Appendix
B: Maintaining the Printer.
