Adding a Video Preview
Enado has the ability to enable video feedback using a compatible encoded web stream. These web streams must support
Motion JPEG snapshots (MJPEG or MJPG). Many CCTV DVR & IP cameras natively support this format. Please check with the
manufacturer to ensure a system is compatible with this format.
Video sources with composite video outputs can be converted to IP streams using Axis video encoders. For information on how
to add a web stream from an Axis encoder please review the Enado Video Integration Guide Application Note or visit the online
user manual via the Help menu.
To add a web stream from a CCTV DVR or IP camera please refer to the manufacturer’s documentation to acquire the
appropriate URL required for feedback in Enado. Once the appropriate URL is acquired perform the following steps in Enado.
1.
Navigate to the Tools menu and select Video Source Settings
2.
Select Custom Path from the drop down menu
3.
Enter in the URL for the CCTV or IP camera and click the Add button
4.
Navigate into an Activity Layout
5.
Navigate to the Insert menu and select Video Element
6.
Left click on the imported video element and choose Edit Properties
7.
Select the Pencil icon (Edit properties) next to Video Source
8.
Select the custom path video URL and click OK
9.
Publish the project for the video element to show in the Live UI
