Care, Cleaning, and Maintenance
WARNING
Filling should only be completed under conditions specified by boiler/heater and
pellet suppliers.
WARNING
Protect wood pellets from moisture.
WARNING
Pellet dust may contain harmful substances - use a fine dust mask when handling.
INFORMATION
When entering the pellet storage room or storage hopper/bulk hopper, do not
stand on the pellets surrounding the suction probe.
Before filling the pellet storage room or bulk hopper, check the following:
– if the storage room is free of foreign bodies.
– if significant dust has settled on the floor over time.
Please note:
A layer of dust on top of pellets from agitation during bulk fillings and removal is normal.
– if pellets have swelled up against the wall if the storage room is not fully dry.
Tip 1:
Pellet dust can be disposed as organic waste.
Tip 2:
Leading pellet suppliers recommend fully emptying the storage room every 2-3 years to ensure that
there is sufficient turnover of pellets (so old pellets do not remain in the hopper). Automatic changeover
between the three suction probes can be deactivated using the InfoWIN
PLUS
(see section 2.8.1.4). This
allows you to fully empty the storage room for one probe (i.e. 1/3 of the storage room). You can then con-
tinue heating with the other two suction probes. If you perform this task every year with a different probe,
you will “replace” your entire supply of pellets every 3 years.
