Learn the standard value for aligning, heating, bead height, max. change-over, welding
force and cooling for the pipe dimension to be welded from the respective table.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In case of contact welding:
Drive the heating element which has been brought to nominal temperature to the fore and
shift the pipes to the heating element shock-free with aligning force. Read the force from the
scale at the hand wheel.
After reaching the prescribed revolving bead height reduce the force (heating force = appr.
10% of the aligning force). The heating begins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In case of infrared welding:
Drive the heating element which has been brought to nominal temperature between the
pipe ends and shift the machine onto limit stop heating element by the hand wheel (min.
force 10 kp). Now the heating begins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press the stop-watch and compare current time with nominal time taken from the table.
Open the tables after expiration of the heating by the hand wheel, drive the heating element
to the rear as quickly as possible and join the workpieces onto the recommended welding
force. The recommended maximum time frame for this procedure is indicated in the table as
change-over time
.
Press the stop-watch and compare current time with recommended cooling time taken from
the table.
If necessary readjust the force during cooling.
Open the clamping tools after expiration of the cooling and remove the welded piece.
Close the tables again afterwards.
