4.3. Heating
element
The heating element is guided on a linear guide rail and is
manually shifted in and out of the welding area by the grip.
The infrared heating element is coated by ceramic and
should not be touched by the welding pieces.
The distance (pipe to heating element) is prescribed by the
limit stop screws of the heating element, 3 screws on both
sides (chapter: 4.3.1).
4.3.1. How
to
adjust the limit stop screws
The limit stop screws are factory-set. The pan-head screws are shimmed by a washer and
entirely screwed in.
If you wish another radiation gap you must:
Slightly detach the screws,
or replace the pan-head screws by screws with changed head height.
We recommend the adjustment of the gap only with cooled down heating element.
Especially beware of the heated heating element!
Drive the planer into the machine, put the tables together and lock them.
Measure the dimension „X1“ between the clamping tools.
Repeat this afterwards with driven-in heating element, record the dimension „X2“ between the
clamping tools.
The dimension „X1“ with planer must be 2 mm larger than dimension „X2“ with heating
element.
