7. Maintenance / Storing / Transport
7.1. In
general
Immediately replace damaged parts. Special attention with electrical parts, dirt and humidity
are very good current conductors.
Only use WIDOS spare parts when executing repairs.
All maintenance and repair work has to be done with the machine switched off.
Prescribed maintenance and inspection works should be performed in time. The
DVS gives the advice of inspection works after 1 year.
For machines with an especially high usage percentage the testing cycle should
be shortened.
The works have to be performed at the WIDOS GmbH company or by an
authorized partner.
Protect against strong shocks and crushes.
Handle the machine with care.
7.2. Maintenance
The linear guides have to be cleaned with a brush
every week
. Impurity can make the
guidings jam and run heavily.
The linear guiding wagon is to be checked every
three months
and greased if necessary
via lubricating nipple.
After completion of the maintenance works, check the safety facilities on their functionality.
Especially check insulation stability, electrical resistance and make PE test (CE norm).
After having carried out the maintenance works, indispensably carry out a functional test
(e.g. sample welding).
7.3. Clamping
elements
In order to warrant a long lifetime you should regularly clean and grease the threaded
spindles and joint parts for the pipe clamping.
7.4. Planer
Check cutting performance of planer knife, if necessary replace them (bilateral polish
maximum chip thickness = 0,2 mm!).
