The data given here have been abstracted from the

RCA Receiving Tube Manual

(1975) to reflect

usage in this product. The illustrations are adapted from the RCA manual as well. The tube types

are listed in alphabetical order.

10.1 6AL5

The 6AL5 is a miniature, high-perveance type used as a detector in FM circuits, in particular as a

ratio detector. Each diode section can be used independently of the other, or the two sections can

be combined in a parallel or full-wave arrangement. The resonant frequency of each unit is

approximately 700 MHz. The terminal layout of the 7-pin device is shown in Figure 10.1.

Selected tube parameters are listed in Table 10.1.
