Measuring AC Inrush Current via Current Clamp
1. First remove the measuring cables before measuring inrush
current via the clamp.
2. Set the rotary function switch (13) to the A~ range position for
measuring alternating current.
3. Press the current clamp trigger (4) to open the clamp. Fully
enclose the conductor to be measured with the current clamp
(1).
4. Press the function switch key SEL (5) to switch into inrush
current measuring mode. The word “INRUSH” appears on the
display.

“. Start the motor to be measured. The
digital clamp meter detects the running motor and displays its
inrush current. This detection will be done only once. The
output reading is held on the display.
Notes:
ƒ Do not enclose more than one conductor in the clamp during
measuring. Incorrect measurement values may be obtained.
ƒ Centre the conductor in the clamp and hold the meter steadily
during measuring.
