Operation
Back Light and Clamp Lighting
ƒ Press and hold the hold/back light key B.L./HOLD (12) for
more than two seconds to switch on the display back light.
This way the readability of the display improves in darker
environment.
ƒ Press and hold the hold/back light key for more than two
seconds to switch off the display back light again.
ƒ The back light automatically switches off after 30 seconds.
ƒ When the back light is switched on at the current measuring
range, the clamp light (2) is switched on simultaneously.
Notes:
ƒ Frequent use of the back light will shorten the life of the
batteries. Therefore, do not use the back light unless neces-
sary.
ƒ Due to the higher power consumption of the activated back
light it may occur that the battery icon appears on the
display. The accuracy of the measurement can not be assured
when the battery icon appears. Switch off the back light. If the
battery icon disappears, you can continue measuring. If the
battery icon
still appears on the display, replace the
batteries.
Auto Power Off
ƒ If you do not operate the digital clamp meter for more than 30
seconds, it automatically switches off.
ƒ After auto power off, press the function switch key (5) to
reactivate the digital clamp meter.
