INSTALLATION AND OPERATION

HD800 FT Installation Notes

Introduction:

Both HD800/160FT-6 and HD800/110FT-8 are

new models to the focused beam line of

WESMAR sonars. They are designed to fi t medium-

sized fi shing vessels that have 6 or 8 inch
seachests. Both FT models come standard
with a rugged, compact hoist that travels
457mm, or 18 inches, into cleaner water.
With the new, compact, self-contained hy-
draulic power pack, the raising and lower-
ing of the soundome can be accomplished
in 3 seconds.

Sonar Operation:

Sonar operation is the same as other HD800 models.

Section II of the HD800 installation and
operation manual applies to the FT models.

Installation:

Installation of the HD800 FT system is similar to

other HD800 models. Section III of the
HD800 installation and operation manual
applies with the exception of the follow-
ing notes.

1. Seachest

Location

The HD800/160FT-6 will fi t into a
6-inch schedule 80 steel pipe. Note the inside

diameter is 5.761 inches nominal. The
HD800/110FT-8 will fi t into an

8-inch schedule 80 steel pipe. Note the inside

diameter is 7.625 inches nominal.

2. Seachest

Length
