Route the interconnect cable from the console to the
hoist assembly.
Follow these precautions:
~ Do not run the cable near heat sources or electric
motors, inverters, converters or transformers
~ Route the cable through conduit in areas where it
may be damaged
~ Do not bend the interconnect cable into a radius
less than 10cm (4 inches)
NOTE: Wrap the interconnect cable terminal lugs
in paper and tape to protect them from dam-
age when stringing the cable through cable
runs.
Route the interconnect cable through the right large
strain relief in the bottom of the Junction Box.
Connect the numbered lugs of the interconnect cable
to the same numbered terminals on the Hoist and
Transmit/Receive Boards.
Plug the interconnect cable connector into the matching
connector on the back panel of the console.
NOTE: The connector is keyed and will align only
one way. If you wish to change the align-
ment for easier connection, follow the steps
in steps in 6.1.
6.1 Repositioning the Connector Shell
If necessary, reposition the connector shell by fol-
lowing these steps:
6.1.1 Remove the two cable clamp screws and un-
screw the clamp flange.
6.1.2 Remove the two locking screws, or unscrew
the locking ring from the cable connector shell
assembly.
6.1.3 Remove the two halves of the shell assembly from
around the cable.
6.1.4 On the inside of each half of the shell is
a small
key. This key aligns with one of the
Special Note:
If you have a Model 18 Long Stroke Hoist,
you will have to route the cable for the Hoist
Travel Selection Box when you route the
interconnect cable.
Install the Hoist Travel Selection Box in
the wheel house.
Wrap the cable lugs to protect them.
At the hoist system, connect the numbered
cable lugs to the same numbered terminals
on the Hoist Control Relay Board.
