17.Measure the voltage between the red (R) wire of the auto idle unit and the 

white-black (W/B) wire of the auto idle unit. 

Is at least 9.8VDC measured?

18.Place the main breaker in the ON position.

19.Connect a load to the generator.

20.Once again, measure the voltage between the red (R) wire of the auto idle unit 

and the white-black (W/B) wire of the auto idle unit. 

Is at least approximately 0 (zero) VDC measured?

21.Reassemble the generator.

The procedure to check the auto idle circuitry is now complete.
